Lil Boosie Nearly Died From Drinking Lean

Yesterday, news broke that promethazine codeine producer Actavis will pull the drug from the market due to the rampant unlawful use by those who choose to abuse the medicine by drinking lean or sizzurp. Upon hearing the news, recently freed MC Lil Boosie told TMZ that he “nearly died three or four times from drinking lean” and it’s “fucked up a lot of rappers and the culture of hip hop.”

Bad Azz did five years in jail on drug charges and was caught for trying to smuggle promethazine codeine into prison while he was still behind bars. “Once you on, it’s hard to get off,” says Boosie. “It’s damn near impossible.” —Peter Walsh
