Producer El-P and rapper Killer Mike dropped one of the best projects of 2013 with their collaborative effort Run The Jewels. The two have been working on a follow up and it looks like a few major players are getting involved. Based on multiple Instagram feeds, Rage Against The Machine frontman, Zack de la Rocha, and Blink 182 drummer, Travis Barker, are going to be featured on the project.

Both artists have roots in hip-hop with De La Rocha having worked with Krs-One, Chuck D, and Public Enemy, while Barker has worked with everyone from Lil Wayne to Rick Ross and Yelawolf. El-P took to his Instagram account to post a photo of de la Rocha with the caption “yes it really is happening. #RTJ2” and a separate post with a snippet of a track off the project. Killer Mike followed suit by posting a picture with himself, Barker, and de la Rocha amongst others.

There is no set release date for Run The Jewels 2 but the project is shaping up to be a treat for those who grew up in the ‘90s.-Peter Walsh
