Joell Ortiz is excited about releasing his new album House Slippers. The Brooklyn rapper says the LP reflects that he is in a comfortable place.

“I’m at home with this album,” say Ortiz.

Executive produced by the Heatmakerz, House Slippers offers musical arrangements the include everything from strings to piano. Heatmakerz’ Rsonist says, “It’s like were scoring a movie for his album.”

This project is the first for Ortiz since he’s signed to Penalty Entertainment.

He says his album title is a reflection of his “comfortable” relationship with the label and the relaxed nature in which their deal transpired.
