Will Iggy Azalea Outsell Future?

Australian bombshell Iggy Azalea finally dropped her debut album The New Classic this week and she’s already expected to score higher sales than Future, who dropped his second album this week, Honest.

Industry insiders at Billboard forecast a bright outcome for Azalea’s first album, saying it could  “make the highest debut on next week's Billboard 200 chart, selling between 50,000 and 55,000” in its first week.

Who’s predicted to come in second place? Sources say Future’s sophomore album will play a close second, selling between 45,000 to 50,000 copies. The XXL staff came to a somewhat similar conclusion after placing their own predictions of the Atlanta rapper’s album sales.

With both artists currently demolishing the airwaves with their radio hits (Azalea’s “Fancy” and Future’s “Move that Doh”) this is sure to be a close race.—Morgan
