Ice Cube Jokes That Paul Walker Shouldn’t Have Won An MTV Movie Award

Ice Cube told USA Today that he and Ride Along co-star Kevin Hart were “robbed” Sunday at MTV Movie Awards when they lost to Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker for best onscreen duo.

Cube said that Diesel and Walker received “sympathy” votes for their roles in Fast & Furious 6 because of Walker’s passing in November and not because of their dynamics onscreen. "We had the best chemistry of everybody nominated, for us not to win was crazy," said Cube of he and Hart. "We were the best onscreen duo, period." The rapper went on to say that if MTV was going to award Walker the iconic golden popcorn it should have done so before his untimely death.

“Shame on you MTV,” said Cube.
