Rob Base Confirms DJ EZ Rock Has Died


Rob Base, one half of the Harlem duo known for “It Takes Two,” posted on his Facebook page revealing news that DJ EZ Rock has died.


While the cause of death hasn’t been confirmed yet, several figures in the hip-hop community have expressed their sadness over the death of the hip-hop legend. Tweets by Kool Keith, Biz Markie, DJ Scratch and more can be read below:

The pair put out an album in 1988 also called It Takes Two. Both the single and the LP were certified platinum.

Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock would split after the success of It Takes Two for personal reasons, but they reunited in 1994 for a second album titled Break Of Dawn. XXL will update you with more information as it becomes available.
