Disney’s ‘Frozen’ Soundtrack Reaches Double Platinum Status In This Week’s Album Sales (4-16-2014)
Disney’s Frozen soundtrack is on an unstoppable run. According to Billboard’s Nielsen SoundScan numbers, the album sold 133,000 copies, which places it at the 10th consecutive spot at No. 1. This also marks the LP selling past 2 million that officially makes it double platinum.
In addition, No. 2 is Pharrell’s G I R L, which sold over 29,000 copies that helps regain the top spot. Lower down the charts, YG’s My Krazy Life is maintaining its momentum with 11,795 copies. Two big projects—Marshall Mathers LP 2 and Mastermind—are at No. 19 and No. 20 respectively with over 11,000 copies sold as well.
Entering the charts for the first time is SZA TDE debut, Z. The project that features production by Mac Miller, DJ Dahi, Toro Y Mori and more moved 7,732 copies for her first week sales. Here’s a breakdown of the rest of the albums that charted this week.
