Kanye West’s Lawsuit Names Anonymous Founders Of Coinye

Just when you thought the Coinye incident was done, Hollywood Reporter gets there hands on the lawsuit from Kanye West to the the formerly anonymous founders. Coinye was a Cryptocurrency, which is a decentralized peer-to-peer utilized medium used for digital exchanges on global-friendly internet platforms, named after Yeezy. They named it after him "because he is and always has been a trendsetter, and he’s always keeping things unique." They extended an invite for Kanye to back them however, Kanye and his lawyers disapprove of the cryptocurrency, and accuses the company of trademark infringement for using Ye’s face as their logo.

Yeezy sent a  cease and desist letter however, Coinye strategically changed the name of the site and the logo while still planning to release it to the public. In response, an angry West filed a trademark infringement lawsuit in a federal court in New York and the company stopped the launch.
