So Chance The Rapper's SXSW experience didn't start out so hot. Chance's show at Red 7 was shut down by the Austin, Texas fire marshal after 18 minutes due to overcrowding, according to Chicago Tribune. It was reported that at least 350 people were in Red 7, which has an official capacity of 300.

Even though fans chanted for Chance to perform, the officers we're not having it and it became clear that the show will not go one. Chance was one of the big acts for City of Chicago Showcase at SXSW. He was hopefully going to perform new collaborations such as "Coast Is Clear” with Skrillex, "Glam" with Chuck Inglish of The Cool Kids and "Fight For You" with Pia Mia, a song that is featured on the soundtrack for Divergent.
