The legal tussle between toy company GoldieBlox and the Beastie Boys has come to a close. The issue was over the use of the Beastie Boys' 1987 song "Girls" for an ad by GoldieBlox that went viral. When GoldieBlox took Ad-Rock, MCA and Mike D to court in Nov. 2013, the Beastie Boys countersued claiming the company showed a pattern of  infringement, exploiting the works of Queen, Daft Punk, Kaskade, Krewella, Avicii, Slam, k.flay and Trevor Guthrie.

The Beasties sued calling it copyright and trademark infringement, unfair competition and misappropriation of publicity rights. But today the two parties came to a settlement, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Terms of the settlement are unknown and the case has been dismissed.
