ScHoolboy Q has responded to fans criticizing him for collaborating with 2 Chainz. “People been hitting me and asking me, like tweets… like, ‘Oh, why are you messing with 2 Chainz? This is TDE. That’s not real Hip Hop," said the LA native in an interview on Power 106's Big Boy's Neighborhood. He continued, "What do you mean that’s not real Hip Hop? When I go buy the album, it says Rap and Hip Hop. I listen to it, I like it. If you don’t like it, skip his verse. I like 2 Chainz. I think he real.”

The Black Hippy lyricist also spoke out against know-it-all internet fans. "A fan thinks he knows more than you! Like ‘Q, you need to go back to the old Q," expressed the former XXL Freshman. "The Q that didn’t get a deal, the Q that didn’t go on tour! Q, you shouldn’t hang with 2 Chainz because he’s this, that, he older than you, he from …’ Like, what the hell are you talking about?”

ScHoolboy Q also explained the reasoning behind his limited social network activity in recent history. “Honestly, I’m not really on it like that no more like I used to be. …I go too hard and not realize that this is the virtual world. Anything you say will be held against you, and it will be on that website tomorrow, and you gonna be feeling like a dickhead."

ScHoolboy Q's debut album Oxymoron has already leaked, but the completely mastered Standard and Deluxe editions are dropping on Feb. 25. The rapper also plans to embark on a worldwide tour following the offering's release.
