Surprise, surprise. Today, Nike threw a curveball to the entire sneaker community releasing the long-awaited Nike Air Yeezy 2 "Red October" on a moments notice online via the Nike store. At noon, CST the coveted, thought to be cancelled signature sneaker, became active by notice of a tweet sent out by the Nike. Needless to say, the kicks sold out in minutes. Eleven, to be exact.

The West and Nike collab sneaker has been an issue of contention for some tome now, between Ye and the shoe giant. The rap star has been seen rocking the shoes for months but a lack of a release date and wrangling over royalties eventually led to Ye leaving Nike for adidas last November. No word from Kanye on his thoughts on the out-of-the-blue release, yet.
