Missy Elliot has six platinum albums under her belt, but it was 2005 the last time the multi-talented entertainer put out a studio LP. In the years since she has only sprinkled solo tracks here and there. Will 2014 be the year she returns? Elliot recently chopped it up with Yahoo’s Yo Show and revealed she is still taking her time working on the best product possible. "When I create something it's got be special," said the Virginia native. "It can't just be to throw something out there because I feel like I'm Missy. I got to feel like what I'm giving the fans is 100 percent and that it's game changing. I don't just throw out microwave records."

The Grammy-winning rapper cited the change in today's musical landscape as one of the factors that has been playing into her hiatus. "Being inspired by things is what I'm grabbing for," she added. "It's different now. Not to say that it's bad. It's just different now. So, I'm just trying to make sure what I give is 100 percent, because I know the expectations is high."

Elliot, who revealed in 2011 she suffers from Grave's Disease, confirmed she is working on Faith Evans' forthcoming project, but, as for something solid on her own return she noted, "It's coming. I'm just not telling nobody when."
