Ice T Had Trouble Recording His First Audiobook

Ice T recently recorded a Dungeons and Dragons audiobook, which was overwhelmingly difficult according to the West Coast rapper. “It took me three-and-a-half hours to read 25 pages,” he said on a recent episode of his podcast.

Unlike his other ventures outside of music (Law & Order, Ice Loves Coco), Ice T went into the field of recording audiobooks blind.

“They didn’t tell me this was a motherfuckin’ Dungeons & Dragons book. [It’s] some of the most crazy, deep, deep nerd shit," he explained. “Motherfuckers talk like Yoda”

Recording a 40-page fantasy took Ice-T two days.

“They were talking about ‘pegasuses’ and ‘pegasi’. That’s horses with wings. This motherfucker got a sword that talks to him… Motherfuckers live in places that don’t exist, and it comes with a map. My God.”
