Chris Brown's forthcoming LP, X has suffered from a number of setbacks and unfulfilled release dates as the singer deals with a number of legal issues. But Brown recently announced his sixth studio album will finally hit shelves May 5. For real this time, we think. The Virginia entertainer, recently took to his Twitter account to reveal the news posting, "X is by far my best album yet.... Setting the date for MAY 5."

The album, which is powered by the hit singles, "Fine China," "Don't Think They Know" and "Love More" featuring Nicki Minaj, was initially supposed to drop in July 2013, but has since changed dates three times. In November, the crooner dropped the mixtape X Files as a bonus to faithful fans. Brown has stated the album will now possibly be a double disk.
