Topaz Jones returns with another well-executed, cinematic visual titled “Gasping For Breath."

Throughout the video, directors Simon Davis and Jason Filmore Sondock (who were also behind the rapper's last video, “Coping Mechanism”) employ a combination of trippy, intriguing effects to create surreal, artfully-crafted scenes which mirror Topaz's tale of escalating paranoia during a night out with friends. Producer Episode sets the score for Topaz's charismatic storytelling with a smooth, dark rhythm coupled with an eerie interpolation of Nirvana's “Smells Like Teen Spirit” —a keytar vocoder-rendition by the legend and personal favorite Casey Benjamin of The Robert Glasper Experiment.

After enjoying the video, check out Topaz's previous releases off of his upcoming project, The Honeymoon Suite, set to be released later this month on Jan. 28.—B.Rob
