The suicide of Waka Flocka Flame's brother Kayo Redd is one of several rapper related deaths that have occurred in late December and early January. Since then, the Atlanta MC has been pretty mum on the topic. Recently, Flocka opened up about his sibling's death during an interview with DC's WKYS saying he thinks stress was one of the main causes for Kayo's passing. "That boy had a lot of stress on him," he stated. "It's a lot of things that go on behind doors that people don't know about," Waka added. "It's a lot of stress that come with this game. The strong survive. The family is good, though. Life goes on. That's the motto for me, life goes on. If my eyes ain't closed and I'm not breathing, I'm not hurting."

Redd was found dead on December 30, 2013 having succumbed to an apparent self-inflicted gun shot wound. The normally rambunctious rapper said the incident even caused him to change some lifestyle factors. "After that situation, I detoxed for like seven days," he revealed. "I changed my diet. I became 85 percent vegan. I just felt like I had to cleanse myself. I've been through that before, so to me that's will power because if I sit there and mope, a lot of things could go bad."

Waka is currently on the Return of Flocka Tour.
