On Dec. 28th, Grand Hustle Records artist Doe B (real name Glenn Thomas) was shot and killed in at the Centennial Hill Bar & Grill in his hometown of Montgomery, AL. He was not the only victim, 21-year-old Troy University student Kim Johnson and 20-year-old Tim Hamilton were also killed. Two men, Jason McWilliams and Darius Thomashave turned themselves in to the authorities and have been charged with two counts of capital murder. Police believe the motive for B’s killing may have been an ongoing beef between Thomas and the accused. Doe B’s funeral took place Saturday (January 4) in the late rapper’s hometown, Montgomery AL at the True Divine Baptist Church where T.I. spoke at.

Today, Jason Geter, Partner/Co-CEO of Grand Hustle and business partner of T.I., release his statement exclusively with XXL on the death of Doe B. Read it below.

"Man it's heartbreaking to see some one so young with a future so bright just be taken, for I'm sure something so petty. Someone's father, son, brother is gone for nothing.  A lot of people probably were not up on this kid Doe B yet, but he was special. He had that "thing" as an artist and the state of Alabama loved him. RIP Doe B"
