Fox Has A Hip-Hop Drama In The Works

Fox has given a pilot order to a series called Empire, which is set to portray "a unique family drama set in the world of a hip-hop empire." 20th Century Fox TV and Imagine TV are producing the hip-hop themed show with Danny Strong, Lee Daniels (The Butler) and Brian Grazer.

The series, which will mark Daniels' TV debut, will be directed by him and scripted by Strong. Not many other details have yet been released.
