The school started up in September 2013 when Natalie Elizabeth Weiss, a composer and DJ from Brooklyn, New York thought it'd be a good idea to teach babies as young as three months old about "the wonderful worlds of electro, hip-hop, and house." Weiss, who's performed with LCD Soundsystem and the Dirty Projectors, guarantees to teach rug rats on the 1s and 2s about "playing and handling records, mixing and matching beats, and creating fun and funky samples using modern DJ equipment."

Weiss' curriculum uses a rhyme and sing-along format in order for both the tykes and their respective parent(s) to better remember mixing techniques.
