Black Rob was once one of the hottest up and coming rappers in hip-hop. A member of Bad Boys Records, he release Life Story in 200 and his smash hit single hit single "Whoa!." Now Black is ready to comeback and release his new single "Have A Nice Day" off an upcoming project. In anticipation of the release, the Harlem native recently took part in Reddit’s Ask Me Anything Session. Black Rob answered fans questions about everything from his Diddy, G-Dep and New York.

Check out some selected Q&A’s from the AMA session, below.

Yo Black Rob, props for doin this AMA. This might be a heavy question but hopefully you cool with it. What was prison like for you? What was the craziest thing you experienced inside and the biggest thing you took away from the whole experience?
I had no problems in prison. Nothing too crazy happened when I was around. A few good people looked out for me. The biggest thing anyone can take away from an experience like that is to never want to go back.

Who right now do you feel like is killing the rap game? Any albums coming out soon that you just can't wait to hear?
Sean Price is the only one impressing me lately.

Black Rob! Thanks for the HHH AMA! I gotta say that I still play the shit out of star in the hood. Glad to see you're working on new material. Have you spoken with G Dep lately? And how did you react to the news
I haven't spoken to him in a minute. We know where we stand at. Still toe to toe. When I heard the news I was baffled. One morning I see him, the next he's gone.

Do you think hip-hop is harder to compete with now that the general style has changed so much?
No. I think the garbage music sticks around as long as people accept it.

What is your favorite non-hip hop album of all time?
Good Question. Anything from India Arie is good in my book.

Are there any artists, regardless of genre, that you would want to work with?
Kool G Rap is someone I've always wanted to work with. Mary J too.

Yo black you are by far my favorite rapper, i still listen to life story all the time, what was it that inspired the classic album?
Hunger. No matter how hard I pushed Puff didn't like it... so I learned to push harder.

What direction are you taking on your new album?
Straight up. I'm making a New York album.

Seriously that's the last song I've heard from you. Where you been? What you been working on?
I've been working hard this past year on making sure the new album sounds incredible as well as getting my video game company off of the ground. I made sure to build a good team around me.

Video game company? Care to explain more? sounds interesting. Danny brown also wants a video game company haha.
All will be revealed within the next few months. I'll come back here and talk more when we're ready.
