The Release Of Kanye's 6th Studio Album

Released on June 18, 2013, Kanye West unleashed Yeezus onto the world. The marketing was unlike anything we ever seen. Premiering songs on buildings across the world with projectors and making short films as promo.

Kanye's 6th album features few guest appearances, they are Chief Keef, King L, Kid Cudi, Frank Ocean, Justin Vernon and Charlie Wilson.

The album sold over 320,000 copies in its first week and went certified gold on Aug. 15.

Rant Season

Kanye West's Interview With BBC Radio 1's Rob Lowe

Kanye West sat down with with Zane Lowe for BBC Radio 1 for an epic four-part interview that discussed a plethora of topics. The  discussion went from his latest album, Yeezus, and comparing it to his prior album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. He revealed that he wants to be the integral part in building the first trillion-dollar company and vented on his frustrations in entering the fashion world. To his appreciation for Jay Z’s role in growing his career. All in all, it was an honest and open Kanye few really see outside his concerts and closed doors. Watch full interview above.

Beef With Jimmy Kimmel

It started innocently enough after part one of Kanye West’s four-part interview with Rob Lowe of BBC Radio 1 was posted on the web. Kanye was very candid about a variety of subjects regarding his music and his goals, passionately expressing his endeavors. The video went viral, getting major pick up from a variety of media outlets.

The following day late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live, hosted by comedian Jimmy Kimmel, aired a spoof of the video, featuring two child actors in the roles of West and Lowe which sent Kanye into a frenzy. He would go on a two day barrage attacking Kimmel on Twitter, sparking a Twitter Beef between Jimmy and himself for the whole world to see. Two weeks after the Twitter rant denouncing Jimmy Kimmel, Kanye West confronted Kimmel on his show to end the beef and live happily ever after. Kanye West vs Sway

While on promotion of the Yeezus Tour, Kanye West paid a visit to Shade 45 to chop it up with Sway for one of the most memorable interviews of the year. Things was going pretty well for the majority of the interview, then about 17 minutes in things take a turn for the worse and a yelling match began as Kanye birth the phrase of the month "You ain't got the answers Sway!" Kanye West Goes Head-To-Head With Charlamagne Tha God

Kanye West heads over to Power 105’s The Breakfast Club with DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God while on his  promotional run for the Yeezus Tour in New York City. Here we have the very honest and straight forward Charlamagne go up against Yeezy for what turned about to be an fantastic heavyweight fight. The interview went viral and Charlamagne landed an article in the New York Times. Kanye also got the Jewish community really upset with his comments and the ADL demanded an apology from him. Kanye Leaves Nike, Signs With adidas

Even with the massive anticipation for Kanye West’s upcoming collaboration with Nike, the Air Yeezy II “Red Octobers,” his frustrations was too much and he cut his ties with the company. In an interview with Peter Rosenburg he says, “Nike marginalized me, they only let me designed two silhouettes.” He would leave Nike and head over to adidas for 2014, which was officially confirmed.

"Bound 3"

After Kanye West premiered the video of "Bound 2" off Yeezus on The Ellen Show, actors James Franco, Seth Rogen remade the video matching every scene from the original. The shocking part is to much of everyone's delight, Kanye and Kim actually liked the spoof. Watch above.

Kanye West Proposes To Kim Kardashian

Kanye West proposed to Kim Kardashian at San Francisco’s AT&T Park with a full orchestra that played Lana Del Rey’s “Young and Beautiful” in the background to which Kim said "yes." However, the video of the proposal, which was supposed to air on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, hit the internet without the consent of the couple. They issued a lawsuit to Chad Hurley, co-founder of YouTube, for posting the video on his new video sharing website, MixBit.

North West Is Born

On June 15, 2013 Kanye West and Kim Kardashian gave birth to a healthy baby girl at Cedar Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills. She was born five weeks premature.

Kanye West Fights Paparazzi

Kanye West and a paparazzi member got into a tussle back in July at the Los Angeles International Airport. A clearly agitated Yeezy barked at the paparazzi member, who name is Daniel Ramos, before charging him. He then got in his vehicle and drove away. Medics were later called to the scene on behalf of the photographer who was grabbed. Daniel would later slap Kanye with a lawsuit. Kanye has a lot of history with the paparazzi. However, not all is bad, he thank one for his professionalism and had a pretty nice conversation with another about the LAX incident.

Kanye West Visits Harvard

While visiting Boston for one of his stops on the Yeezus Tour, he stop by Harvard Graduate School of Design for what was billed as the first in the DONDA Design Lecture Series. The students were treated to not only his speech but also free tickets to his concert.

Kanye West's Saturday Night Online Interview

Kanye West was the star guest for the radio show Saturday Night Online. There he discussed many topics among them was how dangerous it is at times to be an entertainer which he compares with the dangers as men in service and police officers. Well Yeezy’s comments didn’t sit well with David Oliver, chief officer of the Brimfield Police Department in Ohio who posted an open letter to Kanye on the Brimfield Police Department Facebook page.

Kanye West Kicks Heckler Out Of Concert

While in San Antonio for a stop on his Yeezus Tour, Kanye West threw out a heckler who was interrupting his set. Reports say the heckler was continually yelling at Kanye to take off his mask. So instead, he threw her out the concert.

The Yeezus North American Tour

Kanye embarked on the Yeezus North American Tour following the release of his sixth studio album, Yeezus. He kicked off his Yeezus Tour during October in Seattle in front of more than 15,000 fans in Key Arena. Kendrick Lamar was the opening act for the majority of the Tour. The background for his set included a 60-foot white mountain along with a huge projector screen. Kanye wore hos signature wardrobe and mask changes with a crew of costume-wearing women at his side. One of the star guest of the show, a Jesus lookalike. Awesome.

The Daily Currant Fake Kanye West Interview Goes Viral

On December 6, The Daily Currant, which identifies itself as “The Global Satirical Newspaper of Record,” ran a fake interview with Kanye West stating he thinks he is “the next Nelson Mandela.” Even though the article was clearly fake, Twitter honed in on the Mandela commit and became outrage at Kanye. He would later address that the article was a fake and he had nothing to do with it. C'mon smart people! 

Kanye West Selling Merch With Confederate Flags On It

Kanye West bringing Jesus out wasn't the only controversy, he's selling multiple pieces of merchandise featuring the Confederate flag on them. Why? West appeared on Los Angeles radio station 97.1 AMP, where he explained why. “You know, the Confederate flag represented slavery in a way – that’s my abstract take on what I know about it,” he said, according to People. “So I made the song ‘New Slaves.’ So I took the Confederate flag and made it my flag. It’s my flag. Now what are you going to do?”

Drake has shown his appreciation for 'Ye in the past, so it's only right Kanye returns the favor. “I wanted to thank the rap god Drake for coming out tonight,” he announced to the crowd in Toronto. The following night, Yeezus ended the tour by bringing out Drake to perform "Forever." Symbolic, no?
