Earl Sweatshirt’s Best Guest Verses To Date

It was barely a few years ago when we were wondering what boarding school Earl Sweatshirt was hiding in, but now he’s back. And with a vengeance too. The Odd Future young rhyme spitter was geared to be one of the greats prior to his hiatus, and now he’s inching back into that territory once again. A huge plus though for Earl is that he can ride a beat dolo or with the entire Golf Wang. He knows when to stand out and when to just lend a few bars and then gracefully slide off to the side. “Oldie” – Odd Future

When the video for “Oldie” arrived, the coolest part about it was the return of Earl. His bars on the track were as sharp as ever, talking about 60-day chips from Fuckin’ Awesome Anonymous. He survived boarding school, was back, and we were all happy.

“Super Rich Kids” – Frank Ocean featuring Earl Sweatshirt

Frank Ocean’s soliloquy on the uninformed glamorous life gets a much-needed verbal lift from Earl. He comes off like a trust fund baby in his bars, sarcastically discussing crashing Jaguars and chomping on Xanax. You know, the life of super rich kids.

“The Daily News” – Domo Genesis, The Alchemist, SpaceGhostPurrp, Earl Sweatshirt, and Action Bronson

It would seem like on a track like “The Daily News” it would be easy to get lost in the sauce with all of the talent on the cut. That is unless you’re the dude rocking the hook. Earl and Bronsonlino chant in unison about kicking their Sperry’s up. What a visual.

“Rusty” – Tyler, The Creator featuring Earl Sweatshirt & Domo Genesis

There’s nothing rusty about Earl’s bars on this Wolf contribution. He plays cleanup as he tosses around some vulnerable albeit self-deprecating bars about anti-sobriety and lack of therapy. Kind of life Eminem, except, not.

“AssMilk” – Tyler, The Creator featuring Earl Sweatshirt

With a title like “AssMilk,” the verses have to be the redeeming factor on the track. Good thing they are. Both Tyler and Earl trade bars back and forth like they’re having one big psychotic conversation. It’s pretty awesome.

“I’m Not Real” – Mac Miller featuring Earl Sweatshirt

“Head in the clouds and my toes in the struggle” has to be the realest line on a song called “I’m Not Real.” While he only gets a small verse on the Mac Miller joint, he makes the most of his time, especially with that little quotable.

“Chordaroy” – Tyler, The Creator, MellowHype, & Earl Sweatshirt

A kush nugget the size of a tarantula? That would body even the biggest pothead with just a few puffs. But that seems to be the massive nug Earl smokes on “Chordaroy.” Can Wiz Khalifa even handle that? Snoop? Bueller?

“Elimination Chamber” – Domo Genesis, The Alchemist, Vince Staples, Action Bronson, & Earl Sweatshirt

Yet another massive posse cut, but this time Earl gets more than the hook. His words on “Elimination Chamber” spill out into your ears and we all remember why we ranked him as a future legend to begin with.

“Yacht Lash” – Harry Fraud, Riff Raff, & Earl Sweatshirt

No diss to Riff Raff, but Earl Sweatshirt annihilates Harry Fraud’s beat. Forget having “yacht lash,” you get a fair share of whiplash from nodding your head so hard to both of Earl’s verses. Well done.

“Reform School” – Boldy James, The Alchemist, Da$h, Domo Genesis, & Earl Sweatshirt

Earl’s verse on “Reform School” was hot, but would’ve been even better is if he actually rhymed about reform school, since ya know he’s been there and all. Maybe he was just asked on the track for reform school credibility. Either way, it worked.

“CopKiller” – MellowHype featuring Earl Sweatshirt

Does Earl’s line about Amy Winehouse count as a shout out or a diss? No shots but shots? Oh well, either way his flows still make bros go whoa, so there’s that.

“Cold World” – MellowHigh, Remy Banks, & Earl Sweatshirt

“This drink is like my first time hearing Flocka,” Earl announces on “Cold World.” That’s another one in question – a shout out or a diss? Probably a shout out to Waka Flocka because apparently Golf Wang loves that guy.

“Bill” – Delusional Thomas featuring Earl Sweatshirt

Earl gets a hefty verse on “Bill,” and he completely bodies it. Right from the moment he exclaims, “It’s the blackest piece of trash they done seen in an RV park,” you know you’re in for a bar-beating.

“Between Villains” – Captain Murphy, Viktor Vaughn, & Earl Sweatshirt

Okay so you’re on a track with MF Doom. What the hell does one do? In Earl’s case he remained himself and dropped off some solid metaphors. The result was a complete success. Those two need to make a collaborative album. MF Sweatshirt?

Earl’s verse on “P2” is a little crazy (okay a LOT crazy) because here he is starting off about heading to the hospital, but having to get fucked up before he goes inside. So he’s sitting in a parking lot smoking up before he goes in. Wild.
