Waka Flocka Flame is on one of the many hip-hop heavyweights name-checked on Eminem's "Rap God," the mile-a-minute rap assault off the Marshall Mathers LP 2. On the dizzying track, which finds EM referencing greats like Rakim, 2Pac, Ice Cube and more, the Detroit rap god says, "You fags think it's all a game 'til I walk a flock of flames/Off a plank, and tell me what in the fuck are you thinking." In a recent interview with Montreality, Waka responded to the line, discussing whether or not Eminem was dissing him or paying tribute.

When asked if he thought Eminem was taking shots at him, Waka was perplexed. “How? He asked asked people if they think it’s a game,” explains Waka in the clip. “‘I’m gonna go hard as Waka Flocka Flame.’ He’s basically giving me a compliment. I appreciate it. For a legend to look at you and say you go hard. ‘Keep going,’ that’s basically what he said. ‘You going hard. I respect everything you doing. Keep going.’ I ain’t look at it as no beef. I know Eminem wouldn’t diss me.”

After he heard he was referenced on the song, Waka downloaded it and listen to the the track. "He clearly gave me a shout out," he says. "People don't wanna see you rise."

The interview also found the Flockaveli rapper discussing his tumultuous relationship with former friend and business associate Gucci Mane. "The worst decision I would have did that I never did, I could say was partnering Brick Squad Monopoly with 1017 with Gucci,” he says. “I always knew, I’m like ‘Hell nah. I ain’t doing that.’ Cause I see he want what I got." Watch the full interview above.
