Kendrick Lamar was among the artists who took home Soul Train awards when the 2013 ceremony took place Friday, November 8 at the Orleans Arean in Las Vegas. K. Dot won the award for Album of the Year for Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City while Robin Thicke's Pharrell Williams and T.I. assisted single "Blurred Lines" earned the Song of the Year award. Miguel was named Best R&B/Soul Male Artist, and Tamar Braxton landed the hardware for Best R&B/Soul Female Artist.

During the show, hip-hop veterans Warren G., Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick and Big Daddy Kane gave a salute to the show’s '90s theme. The entire award show will air on Centric and BET on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013 at 8 p.m. EST.
