Another stop on the Yeezus Tour, another rant by Kanye West.

And although he eventually got to his standard topics of fame, artistic credibility and the VMAs, he started his rant last night in Brooklyn by talking about the MPC 1000, a machine that a number of legendary hip-hop artists and producers have used over the years. While standing in front of his own MPC on stage, which was brought out in a dramatic, religious-like ceremony minutes before, Kanye called it the guitar, piano and drums of our time. He also went on to say, "It gave us the ability to chop up bands when we couldn't afford our own band." He finished by citing A Tribe Called Quest, a group that performed earlier in the night and used the MPC on a majority of its records in the '90s.
