The Craziest Crimes Rappers Have Committed
For those who know hip-hop, they know its music is much more positive and thought provoking than the mainstream media gives it credit for. Still, rappers do get in trouble sometimes, like Wu Tang affiliate Killa Sin did yesterday, when he was arrested for attempted murder. His arrest, which was supposedly a result of him shooting a man (not fatally, thankfully) standing near his truck, was hardly the craziest we've seen in hip-hop; unfortunately, that title could go to a handful of other crimes committed by rappers. Just in time for thanksgiving, XXL decided to compile some of those crimes.
Big Lurch eating someone
Texas rapper Big Lurch set the standard for craziness when he was caught eating the body parts of a 21-year-old female while under the influence of PCP back in 2002. He's currently serving a life sentence for the incident.
Foxy Brown assaulting hair dresser with weave glue
Foxy wasn't having it when an employee of a Queens beauty salon told her it was closing time, so she used the weave glue she was trying out as a weapon. Things got a little sticky from there.
Ol' Dirty Bastard shoplifting a pair of shoes despite having $500 in his pocket
Sometimes old habits are hard to break.
DMX impersonating an FBI agent
You knew X was going to be on here somewhere. We decided to go with the time when he impersonated an FBI agent at JFK Airport in New York, and he pulled a guy over who was with his wife and kids. The whole incident was bizarre (X, who was in a car adorned with a siren, fled the scene by crashing through an exit gate), but the best part of it was the fact that X's lawyer said the rapper was just trying to make a "citizen's arrest." Right.
C-Murder shooting up club on tape
Maybe it was the fact that Master P's brother, C-Murder, was caught on tape, but him pulling out his gun on a room full of people was pretty crazy, to say the least.
Mystikal demanding oral sex from hair stylist
We love Mystikal's music, but this wasn't his finest moment. He served his time for the incident and is now trying to make a comeback.
X-Raided shooting someone and then rapping about it
Sacramento rapper X-Raided always kept it real with his music, for better and for worse. In 1992, he was arrested for the murder of a woman. The lyrics and songs of his debut album, Pyscho Active, were used against him in court, as they seemingly described the crime in detail.
