Troy Ave is prepared to make the classic New York rap video fans have been waiting for.

The BK spitter caught up with MTV News during the shoot for “New York City” featuring Raekwon, Noreaga and Prodigy. He speaks on the meaning of the title track off his upcoming album, saying it gives fans that “classic feel.”

“This record shows you that I am not playing,” Troy Ave says. “This record don’t sound like nothing. It don’t sound like nothing that’s out. That’s a fact.”

Later on in the clip, Troy gives fans a glimpse of the video concept, which sticks to simple black and white with a clear background. Featured guest Raekwon even shines a light on Troy Ave’s success so far, stating the young upstart possesses the same qualities as him.
