White Plains, New York’s own Stan Ipcus is going back to his former ways after a brief hiatus. Ipcus gathered 10 of his best recordings from the last decade (sort of like a greatest hits) to create his debut album Local Legend. On it, the project sticks to old school sensibilities of good New York rap, while telling his story of a rapper turned father. The album features recent singles “Clark Griswold,” “How I Met Your Mother” and more. There's even a great skit of Ipcus explaining the concept behind "My Ferris Buellers" to Peter Rosenberg and Cipha Sounds that's worth hearing. Stream it below.
