Even before the BET Hip-Hop Awards aired on Tuesday (October 15) people were already talking about Top Dawg Entertainment's cypher performance, thanks to a leaked snippet of Kendrick Lamar seemingly sending shots Drake's way. When the entire set aired, it didn't disapoint with Ab-Soul, ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock and Isaiah Rashad catching wreck. Q recently stopped by Sway In The Morning and spoke on this year's cypher experience. There was some speculation that other members of Black Hippy had fired disses during their verses. Q denied the subliminals saying, "I think we dropped so many of them lines people are now starting to try to catch anything we do," said Q denying speculation that Jay Rock was getting at J. Cole on his verse. "Everybody thought I dissed Jay Z when I said 'What's 50 grand to a motherf#cker like me, would you please remind me.' I just said his line." He added, "People be digging too deep."

Q also spoke on Kendrick Lamar's verse which was clearly longer than the standard 16 bars other participants were given. According to him, K. Dot's verse was unexpected. "Kendrick wasn't even going to rap. Then out of nowhere, me, Soul, and Rock, he pulled us to the side and he rapped it." He continued, "We were like damn, this nigga just said all that. Me, Soul, and Rock looking like damn, we just wrote the 16. We was hurt."

Later on in the interview, Q talks "Control" responses and calls Kendrick on the phone to try to get him to explain if he was aiming at Drizzy during his cypher verse.
