Joey Bada$$ Remembers Capital Steez In His New Video

Joey Bada$$ shows off his evolution in his latest clip, “Hilary Swank.” Hijacking an office building, the young MC reflects on the changes that have come about since making it big, adding in an array of clips that represent his recent successes.

In the video, the rapper boasts his accomplishments in a more subtle manner, with clips of Kendrick Lamar praising his talents in an interview and a flashback of his appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. As the video raps Joey also pays homage to Capital Steez, the Pro Era rapper who passed away late last year.

“Hilary Swank” is off of Joey’s Summer Knights EP, which dropped earlier this summer.

dope, I’m 30 and most of my favorite rappers are 30+ or close to it BUT this kid is amazing. Bringing back that 90′s lyrical rap that I grew up on and love so much. Jay Z needs to get this kid under management or sign him to Roc Nation quickly, that would be a great look plus the kid is from Brooklyn…enough said.
