Joey Bada$$, Ab-Soul, Pro Era affiliate Kirk Knight and another yet to be identified crew member were detained by police officers in St. Louis, last night. The rappers are in town for the Smokers Club Tour 2013. Instagram video has emerged which shows Joey and Soulo being handcuffed with the Pro Era front man implying that there was no reason given for their detainment at that point. “Have you figured out why I’m in these handcuffs?," Joey can be seen asking a nearby officer before laughing.

According to Joey's tour DJ, Statik Selektah, all who were cuffed were released and the show scheduled for tonight in St. Louis will go on as planned. He also blames the incident on racist cops who profiled the rappers. Statik sent XXL the following statement:

"No one is in jail. The cops were profiling because Joey and Ab were walking through the hotel parking lot to the bus. The show is still on tonight in St. Louis, but that was some typical police bullshit and the cops felt stupid when they realized who it
was....I was inside the hotel recording when it happened, but by the time I came out the cops were gone, and the hotel security told me how it was BS. The cops felt dumb as f#ck after they realized they were f#cking up (basically profiling gone wrong). They saw tour bus, passports etc. [Joey and Ab-Soul] both are at hotel now. Show is on tonight."
