Iggy Azelea is on the cover of Paper magazine's October issue. The 2012 XXL Freshman class member has been making waves in hip-hop recently, putting out her hit single "Work," signing to Island Def Jam in April and gearing up for her upcoming major-label debut LP, The New Classic. The 23-year-old Aussie rapper has came a long way from her breakthrough mixtape Ignorant Art and is catching the eye of plenty of people. In the piece, Iggy states that she believes Miley Cyrus was inspired by her twerking skills.

"I've been doing that onstage for two-and-a-half years," Azalea says, commenting on the dancing craze that swept the country ever since Miley's VMA twerk-filled performance aired in August. "She probably fucking watched my videos online and decided to try it."

Iggy's twerking skills were noticed back in June 2013 by Beyonce's team at her headlined NYC's Bowery Ballroom show. During the show, she held a "twerk off," something she's done for almost all her shows, and wowed Queen B's team, who were in attendance. "We'd been doing that dance-off at the shows, but no one put it online. At the Bowery, they did."  She later on became the opener for Beyoncé's 16-date "Mrs. Carter Show" tour of Australia that kicks off this month.
