Today marks the 50th birthday of Adam "Ad-Rock" Horowitz! As one third of the Beastie Boys, Ad-Rock is a pioneering member one of the most important rap groups of all-time. The Beastie Boys were not only the first white rappers but the group's debut album, Licensed To Ill, was the first rap album to top the Billboard Pop Chart when it ascended to the chart's zenith in 1986. Over the years, Ad-Rock and the Beasties have sold tens of millions of records and enjoy one of the most accomplished musical legacies in not only hip-hop but all of music.
