Future Pushes Back Album Release, Is Working With Miley Cyrus And Nicki Minaj
Future made the rounds yesterday at HuffPost Live (above) and MTV's RapFix Live, where he let the fans in on some more details of his new album, Honest, which was originally slated to come out November 26.
"Between November and December; I think I'm going for December," he told HuffPo, saying the original date wasn't going to stick. "Don't have the specific date right now, but just know it's coming out this year."
He also spoke about his high-profile relationship with Ciara, his use of Auto-Tune, being in the studio with André 3000 (who he met as a teenager) and said he'd never heard Kendrick's "Control" verse.
Then on RapFix, he let loose that he has records with both Miley Cyrus (called "Real And True") and Nicki Minaj (called "Rock Star Life") on Honest.
"I worked on the Miley Cyrus, when we were working on her project, her album, me and Mike [WiLL Made It] was working, writing a couple joints on her album," he said. "I was doing some records in Vegas and Mr. Hudson sent a hook back he did on a Mike Will track...he played it for Miley and she wanted to be a part of it, so I'm putting the record on my album also."
He then was asked about additional features, and revealed that Nicki made the album as well, though they didn't work on "Rock Star Life" in the studio together. "Nicki Minaj is dope," he told Sway. "We've worked in the studio together, but that particular record she wasn't in the studio."
