August Alsina Reaches No. 1 On The Urban Radio Chart

Def Jam signee August Alsina definitely has a reason to celebrate as his hit single "I Luv This Shit" now reigns on the Urban Radio Chart. Knocking Drake from the top slot, the New Orleans native's breakout record comes to claim the throne nearly six months after its release.

Succeeding Drake's "Hold On We're Going Home," August's single has now reached 4,120 radio spins after several months on the chart. Just holding the No.2 spot last week, a jump in spins is the reason for the new placement.

"I Luv This Shit" has been amongst hip-hop's spotlight records this summer already nabbing several remixes. The song's original release features Trinidad Jame$ but over time has acquired versions from Birdman and most recently Chris Brown alongside Trey Songz.
