The original Arsenio Hall Show had an impressive history of bringing hip-hop acts to a large national audience, and the new version of the show that just launched appears to be carrying on that lineage. Last week Nas performed "You Wouldn't Understand" on the show and last night two younger artists, Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q, dropped by for stellar takes on their tracks "m.A.A.d city" and "Collard Greens." Hall even introduced Kendrick by saying that having the Compton rapper on the show was one of the reasons he wanted to get back in the late night game.

In addition to the two performances, Arsenio also sat down for an interview with Lamar where they discussed Lamar's memory of seeing the "California Love" video being filmed when he was just a young kid. It's a charming, poignant story. Check it out in a clip from the interview below. Also, watch the "Collard Greens" performance above and watch the "m.A.A.d city" performance too. So much TDE on late night.
