Raekwon And Inspectah Deck Praise Drake’s “Wu-Tang Forever”

Drake offered his homage to Wu-Tang last night for free when fans pre-ordered Nothing Was The Same. As with everything Drizzy does, rap Twitter had a lot to say for his track that samples The Wu’s “Its Yourz.” The general consensus was Drake didn’t necessarily write a tribute for the Staten Island Clan, but rather he just made another moody track. Consequently, some listeners were confused by the whole ideal.

Even so, Drizzy got the recognition that matters most. Raekwon and Inspectah Deck both responded with positive tweets about the track. If the God MCs show respect, it means everything is good, right?

I’m thinking they didn’t actually hear the track.

You’re right, they didn’t. After Inspectah Deck heard it he tweeted again saying it’s not a tribute and that although he doesn’t hate or love the track, he doesn’t support it.
