In an interview with Vibe.com, Jay Electronica revealed that he wanted to release Big Sean's "Control" on his upcoming album. Prior to the leak of the song a few weeks back, Jay Elect had expressed a desire to take the track for his himself after Big Sean told him that the song would not be coming out on Big Sean's Hall Of Game.

"It was me and Big Sean," Electronica told ViBE. "We had verses on there. Then when he told me it wasn't on his album, I was going to use on my album. And then he told me the day before it came out, 'Yo, Kendrick put a verse on there. We're gonna put it out.' I was like, 'Go ahead. Go, go, go.' But it's a good thing. It's a good thing for Hip Hop music because Hip Hop has been laying dormant for a long time. Peace to the young gods, Kendrick Lamar, TDE, Ab-Soul, ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Joey Bada$$. Peace to the young gods."

When asked about a potential release date for Jay Electronica's long-awaited Act II: Patents Of Nobility, Jay Electronica was coy about when he planned to release the album.

"She trying to put me on the spot." Jay Elect said. "The album comes out on the day that it comes out," he said.
