Curren$y ‘Jetflix’ Documentary

There’s no days off for Curren$y. The NOLA rapper, who always seems to be dropping a new song, putting out a new video or releasing a new mixtape, recently linked up with Pitchfork for a documentary that follows his hectic grind. In the 20-minutes of footage, the cameras shadow Spitta backstage, in the studio, on tour and chilling with the homies.

I like all these 20 minute or so docs about rappers, really gives you insight on artist that interviews or studio sessions might not give you. Curren$y shows you can get money and have real fans that love you without 1 of these big majors getting you for every dollar and taking away your true artistic expression. Curren$y makes the kind of music he wants to and you can tell, I’m sure he feels free as a bird and you cant ask for no more then that…respect dude a lot and music is dope.
