Wikileaks Founder Julian Assange Posts Strange Rap Video
It seems as if Wikileaks Founder Julian Assange is keeping himself busy as he sits in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, evading sexual assault charges in Sweden. Yesterday on an Australian-based hip-hop site, Juice Rap News, Assange released a bizarre rap video promoting his Wikileaks party in his native home of Australia. In the video, Assange dons a blonde wig and croons out of toon in a song designed to skewer various parliamentary candidates in Australia.
In recent years, Assange has been a flashpoint in the growing debate between government overreach and privacy as his website, Wikileaks, has leaked confidential government and corporate documents since it's founding in 2006. Last week, Bradley Manning, a private that leaked confidential military documents to the site, was sentenced to 35-years in jail. Since being accused of sexual assault in 2010, Assange has been on the run before being offered asylum at the Ecuadorian embassy in late 2012.
