It has been four days since the release of Big Sean's "Control" on Monday Night and there have been a flood of responses to Kendrick Lamar's verse on the song. It is no exaggeration to say that the rap world has not been this abuzz with a song in years.  One of the lines that has gained the most attention is this:

"I'm usually homeboys with the same niggas I'm rhymin' wit
But this is hip-hop and them niggas should know what time it is
And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big KRIT, Wale
Pusha T, Meek Millz, A$AP Rocky, Drake
Big Sean, Jay Electron', Tyler, Mac Miller
I got love for you all but I'm tryna murder you niggas
Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you niggas
They dont wanna hear not one more noun or verb from you niggas"

Although, we cannot be completely sure what motivated this, it seems clear that Kendrick Lamar is challenging these rappers to respond to him. After calling out names and, some of the rappers mentioned have responded and others have not. We have compiled a list of the definitive responses of 11 rappers mentioned on the song.

"I'm in a lane by myself. I'm the only [one] that's lyrically spittin' some street music and gettin' money. Kendrick [Lamar and Black Hippy], I'ma tell 'em in a rap: y'all can run that backpack, I'ma run these streets." - Meek Mill

“When I heard that verse I was like ‘Man, I’m not about to go back and change my verse. That’s cheating’… I could go back, change it. Make it this. I could namedrop. You know, I could do this. I could cut his verse up, but that ain’t the way of a OG. You know what I’m saying? That ain’t how G’s move.” - Big Sean
