After a decade-long hiatus, legendary hip-hop/R&B group, TLC will be releasing their first new album in October. While the title of the album has not been announced, XXL has learned that the album will be released on October 15 on LaFace/Epic Records.

The new album will coincide with the October 21 premiere of the group's new biopic, CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, on VH1. New York rapper Lil Mama is starring in the film as the group's deceased member, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, who died in a car wreck in Honduras while on charity mission in 2002.  Lil Mama is also scheduled to perform at select dates throughout the country on TLC's reunion tour later this year.

At the time of the group's break-up in 2002, TLC was the second highest-selling girl group in world history, selling 65 million records worldwide since their 1992 debut. TLC is considered one of the most influential girl groups of all-time. Their innovative blend of R&B, hip-hop, soul, funk and new jack swing made them one of the most iconic musical acts of the 1990s.

TLC's yet-to-be-titled fifth album is scheduled for release on October 15 on LaFace/Epic.
