Last week, Detroit rapper Danny Brown released 12.12.08, a documentary from 2009 that chronicled his steady hustle in the D’s hip-hop scene. While the film felt slightly dated, it certainly captured a moment for Danny, back when he still had braids and a generally different rap style, a far cry from his latest hipster-friendly days as an artist signed to Fool’s Gold.
