Ransom Responds To Nicki Minaj’s Verbal Attack On TMZ
Ransom is still feeling the effects of Nicki Minaj’s verbal assault on TMZ.
In a song titled “Man Alone,” Ransom made some allegations about ghostwriting for Nicki during her days coming up in rap. “Before Nicki was wearing those crazy wigs/I was doing verses for her, just hoping she made it big,” he said on the track.
TMZ caught up with Nicki, who immediately called out Ransom, and wasn’t afraid to say what she was really feeling.
“I’m undisputed because I’m the only female rapper…and I don’t need no motherfucking ghostwriter,” she said. “So if you’re telling that lie, you must be real fucking desperate and you still ain’t gon pop!”
The folks at Sway In The Morning decided to get to the bottom of the Ransom/Nicki beef. He appeared on the show earlier this morning to share his side of the story. He elaborated on his time working with Nicki, saying he wrote verses for her to be used as guest appearances on mixtapes. He also clarified that she wrote her own rhymes too.
"I think she verbally attacked me, I think she overreacted. I mean, the line could have been taken either way, but if you do your research, you’ll know that I didn’t malicious say that to come at her credibility; I’ve been openly saying that she’s been writing her own bars,” he said. “And I see TMZ, I see the way they put words in my mouth.”
Ransom later expressed his need for a personal apology. Watch the rest of the interview above.
