Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ ‘The Heist’ Hits Platinum In This Week’s Album Sales (8/28/2013)
This week, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’s huge showing at the VMAs worked in their favor. The Seattle duo’s The Heist has officially gone platinum, moving 19,000 copies and selling 1,017,000 all together. This is an amazing accomplishment for the pair who is known for their independent grind.
Elsewhere on the chart, Earl Sweatshirt and A$AP Ferg have broke in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. The Odd Future member’s Doris lands at No. 5 with 49,000 copies, while Ferg holds down the No. 9 spot with 32,000 for Trap Lord.
