Iggy Azalea Thinks Kendrick’s Verse Is Awesome

Iggy Azalea gave her thoughts on Kendrick Lamar's verse on "Control," praising the artist for his verse and also adding that "I think it's a fucking great, amazing verse but I do feel like some people are kind of sensationalizing healthy competition." She goes on to say that the reason he name dropped those rappers was out of respect and acknowledgment. She stated simply that its healthy competition and nothing more.

Iggy explains that before she heard the verse, the way it was being discussed by everyone, she thought Kendrick must have been disrespectful. However as soon as she listened to it for herself, it was clear that it was a rapper showing respect to his peers and articulating that he wants to be the best.

The Island Def Jam artist is currently gearing up to release her debut album, The New Classic, which currently is set for September. She did post the tracklist via her Instagram last week on Thursday.
