Gucci Mane’s Request For Community Service Thrown Out

Following an assault arrest earlier this year, Gucci Mane may end up with a severer punishment than he had hoped for. After a judge denied  to settle the matter with a community service plea, the rapper will now have to take the case to trial towards the end of the year.

The case stems from an incident in March when a veteran came forth claiming Gucci slammed him in the head with a bottle. "I was speaking to the security guard, and Gucci Mane hit me in the head with a bottle,"said the solider. "And as I looked at him in the shock of why, one of his friends hit me in the side of my face." According to the victim this all occurred after he simply requested to take a picture with the rapper while partying at Harlem Nights in Atlanta.

A trial date has not been set however Gucci Mane's lawyer told myfoxatlanta.com he thinks it could start in November or December.
