Fat Joe is the latest artist to head behind bars on the dreaded tax evasion charge that has been spreading like crazy through the hip-hop universe in the past decade. After being sentenced in June to 4 months in Federal lockup, he reported today in Miami to begin doing his time, according to TMZ.

Joe was accused of not paying the government on his earnings between 2007 and 2010, which cost the gov't slightly more than $718,000. He was also fined $15 grand and will be on supervised release for a year after serving his four months.

It might be a gloomy day behind bars, but all news regarding Joe isn't so bad today—earlier he dropped his newest mixtape, The Darkside 3, a project being helmed by DJ Premier. He previously dropped "Your Honor" featuring Action Bronson and had a track with Future called "Love Me Long Time."
