Austin Mahone Signs To Cash Money

YMCMB continues to expand their roster and find new talent outside of hip-hop.

One of the biggest acts at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards was Austin Mahone. Before the show kicked off, he was a fresh face a part of the pre-show festivities alongside budding star Ariana Grande. The 17-year-old is a native of San Antonio, Texas, and gained popularity through viral YouTube clips.

Yesterday, Birdman and DJ Khaled hinted at a collaboration is in the works with Mahone’s Chase Records. Stunna wrote on Instagram: “congrat chase records and AUSTIN MAHONE WELCOME to tha FAMILY…YMCMBUSINESS expanding tha LABELS.”

Mahone is the newest member of the team, indeed. But what about Paris Hilton? She was supposed to be putting out her album, which was “almost finished” and contained a feature by Lil Wayne. Maybe YMCMB’s focus has shifted a bit.

What do you think about Austin Mahone’s signing? Let us know in the comments.
